Lake George Campground

Lake George Campground is among the smaller camping areas in Mammoth Lakes. Its 15 campsites offer views of beautiful Lake George and the towering Crystal Crag.

Although swimming is not allowed in the lake, small boats may be rented there for sightseeing and fishing. Hiking trails lead out from near the campground to beautiful lakes such as TJ Lake and Crystal Lake.

Lake George Campground campsites all have good amenities, including the trusty bear-proof food storage lockers which must be used. Nearby at the lake are a grocery store, laundry, and showers.

Key Lake George Campground Regulations

  1. Fires are only allowed in fire rings.
  2. Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  3. Dogs must be on leash and attended at all times. No more than 2 pets are permitted per campsite.
  4. To avoid problems with bears, keep food in bear-proof lockers.
