Don Pedro Lake

Fleming Meadows Campground

Fleming Meadows Campground is spread across the rolling hills close to the dam at the southern end of Don Pedro Lake. Known for its great boating and fishing, Don Pedro Lake draws campers from around the state.

Don Pedro Lake

Don Pedro Lake is in the Sierra foothills east of Modesto. Boaters take advantage of the lake's 13,000 surface acres for waterskiing and wakeboarding. Windsurfers and sailors find good afternoon breezes. Houseboaters enjoy cruising along the lake's 160 miles of shoreline. Fishing is successful from boat or shore for black bass, smallmouth and spotted bass, Kokanee and Chinook salmon, and rainbow trout.

On shore, campers enjoy hiking along a number of scenic trails, including the Moccasin Point Lake View Trail, Manzanita Lookout Trail, and Blue Oaks Shoreline Trail (also open to cyclers). Close to the campground are a softball field, volleyball court, horseshoe courts, a swimming lagoon, snack bar, trading post, a full-service marina and launch ramp.

Fleming Meadows Campground

Fleming Meadows Campground has 90 full RV hook-up campsites along with 125 standard sites for RVs, trailers, or tents. In addition, there are 51 walk-in, tent sites. Most sites have at least partial shade from oaks. Campsites have picnic tables, BBQs/fire ring, and food storage lockers.

Available in the campground are drinking water spigots, restrooms with flush toilets, and free hot showers. Most of the campsites have nice views of the lake. Parking pads are paved. Some sites have shade structures over the picnic table. A minimum 2-night stay is required at most times and 3 nights on holiday weekends.
