Bagby Campground is located on the far eastern arm of Lake McClure where the Merced River feeds into the lake. The campground is only a short distance off Highway 49 south of Coulterville. Visitors to Bagby Campground like its quiet location along the river and its more intimate campground setting. Fishing for trout is especially good here.

Bagby Campground has 31 campsites. Among those are 10 sites with water and electric hook-ups. The other sites can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. The campsites are about a half mile upstream from the boat launching facility.

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths.
