Trumbull Lake Campground
Trumbull Lake Campground is 6 miles west of Highway 395 in the Virginia Lakes area, between Mono Lake and Bridgeport. Campsites are near scenic Trumbull Lake which offers canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Anglers in float tubes do well on Trumbull Lake. Towering mountains rise on either side of the valley. The beautiful Virginia Lakes are within easy walking distance. Gas motored boats are not allowed in any of the lakes in the area. The Virginia Lakes Resort has rowboat rentals, a store, and a cafe serving breakfast and lunch.
The 33 campsites at Trumbull Lake Campground are set in a forest of lodgepole pines which provides plenty of shade. Several sites have partial lake views. One site is designated only for RVs, while the rest can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. There are 3 double and one triple campsites. Most of the sites at Trumbull Lake Campground are available for reservations and a few are first-come, first-served. (Only reservable campsites are shown on the map below.)
