PiPi Campground
PiPi Campground is along the Middle Fork of the Cosumnes River in the Eldorado National Forest. This campground is often overlooked by campers, but it offers a number of wonderful features that make it an attractive destination for camping.
PiPi Campground anglers find good fishing in the Cosumnes River, and once the currents have subsided in late summer swimming holes appear. Only swim when water levels are safe. Trails and roads lead off in several directions from PiPi Campground. An ADA accessible boardwalk runs for nearly a mile along the side of the river for the full length of the campground. Accessible fishing docks are found along the way.
Reach PiPi Campground from Highway 88, 26 miles east of Jackson. Then travel 0.8 miles on Omo Ranch Road followed by 5.9 miles on North/South Road.
PiPi Campground has 52 campsites in a shady forest of cedar and firs. Reservations for specific sites can be made for more than half of PiPi's campsites. Nine sites are tent-only, and the remainder can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. Site #17 is a double site for 12 people ($48). Site #28 is a triple site which can accommodate 18 people ($72 per night).
