Silver Lake East Campground is near the north shore of Silver Lake on Carson Pass in the Eldorado National Forest. Visitors to Silver Lake enjoy beautiful mountains scenery, hiking trails, mountain biking, boating, and fishing. A small pond in the center of the campground often attracts families of ducks.

Silver Lake East Campground is operated by the Forest Service, while nearby Silver Lake West Campground is operated by the El Dorado Irrigation District.

Silver Lake East Campground has 58 campsites. Many can accommodate RVs, trailers and tents. Six sites are designated for tents. Another 4 campsites are tent-only, walk-in sites The campground offers 3 double sites. Reservations can be made for most sites, while some are kept available as first-come, first-served sites.

For campground purposes, a vehicle is any equipment that is required to be licensed/registered. This includes RVs, trailers, cars/trucks, boat/car trailer, motorcycle/atv, etc. Vehicles parked in a truck or on a trailer are not counted separately.
