Attractions and Activities

For those camping at June Lake Campground the many Attractions of the June Lake Loop are nearby. June Lake Loop is well known as an amazing fishing destination as well as a gateway to many outdoor activities and attractions.

  • Find superb fishing in a string of mountain lakes and fly fishing in nearby upper Owens River.
  • Set out on hiking into the Ansel Adams Wilderness.
  • Try guided trail rides or pack trips to back country fishing spots.
  • Ride the scenic June Mountain Chair Lift.
  • Rent a boat at the June Lake Marina, Big Rock Resort, Gull Lake Marina, or Grant Lake Marina.
  • Visit nearby Mono Lake or Mammoth Lakes.

Key June Lake Campground Regulations

  1. Fires are only allowed in fire rings.
  2. Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.
  3. Dogs must be on leash and attended at all times. No more than 2 pets are permitted per campsite at June Lake Campground.
  4. To avoid problems with bears, keep food in bear-proof lockers.

June Lake Campground

June Lake Campground is located on the southern shore of June Lake in the Eastern Sierra. The campground is tucked between marinas on the outskirts of the town of June Lake. June Lake Campground provides easy access to great fishing, marinas, boat rentals, and other outdoor activities. Views of the spectacular Sierra peaks can be enjoyed from many places in the campground. A short drive around the lake leads to the Oh Ridge day use area and beach.

June Lake Campground has 27 campsites, most of which will accommodate small RVs, trailers, or tents. Six sites are reserved for tents-only. Many of the sites offer excellent privacy. Some are close to the water with filtered views of the lake. There is a 14-day camping limit at June Lake Campground.

Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the reservation site when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite. Purchase firewood locally to avoid spreading pests.
