Paradise Campground - Los Padres National Forest is in the Santa Ynez Recreation Area, 11 miles from Cachuma Lake and 19 miles from Santa Barbara. Campground visitors enjoy spacious campsites under spreading oak trees surrounded by acres of lawn. The Santa Ynez River is nearby. White Rock Day Use Area, only 1/4 mile away, offers both swimming and fishing.

Paradise Campground - Los Padres National Forest has 13 family campsites which can accommodate RVs, trailers, or tents. In addition, there are 2 double sites. A 2-day minimum stay is required on weekends. Three sites are available on a first come, first served basis.

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. If using a reservation website, check to be sure your vehicles will fit in the parking space for your campsite.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, obtain firewood locally.

Visitors to Santa Barbara County and neighboring Ventura County enjoy the nearby Los Padres National Forest as well as the beautiful coast and lakes. Campers at Paradise Campground are near the Cachuma Lake and the Santa Inez River.

  • Aliso National Recreation Trail is a popular, 2.5-mile loop that begins near the campground.
  • Spend the day on the rippling waters of beautiful Cachuma Lake for boating and fishing.
  • Take off on Cachuma Lake hiking trails or sign up for a lake cruises. Spend time at the playground and the nature center.
