Lake Casitas Campground

Lake Casitas Campground has more than 400 campsites along the lake's north shore. The 2,500-acre lake is only 10 miles inland from Ventura and offers a wonderful spot for families to relax by the water. Fishing for largemouth bass is popular here.

Although there is no body contract allowed with the lake's water, Lake Casitas' Water Adventure with water slides, inner tube rides, and a swim lagoon, has something for everyone.

Lake Casitas Campground is divided into 13 camping areas, each with varying amenities. There is a 2-night minimum on Friday and Saturday nights. Lake Casitas also has Group Camps.

  • Angler Campground: 7 Executive Sites with 40' concrete pad, Hook-ups (water, electric and sewer), individual turf area.

Attractions near Lake Casitas Campground: Take advantage of the marina for boat rentals (no water contact, so no jet skis, water skiing, etc.). Try your luck at fishing. Cool off at the Water Adventure Park. Find bike rentals and nice bike trails. Grab a meal at the cafe. Play a round at the disc golf course. Enjoy the model airplane airstrip.







Lake Casitas Group Campsites

Lake Casitas had two group camp areas, Owl Court and Lakeside. Owl Court is near the entrance gate and Water Adventure. It has a large BBQ with a sink, horseshoe pits, and limited electricity. The site can accommodate up to 60 people with tents or self-contained RVs or trailers.

Lakeside, located on a gently sloping peninsula, is used as an overflow camping area and sometimes as a group site. It has no individual campsites. The campground can accommodation unspecified numbers of campers. It has a natural amphitheater. Chemical toilets are available along with some water spigots and fire pits.

  1. Quiet Hours are from 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. No generator use during this time.
  2. Bodily contact with the lake water is not permitted.

General Camping Information for

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on snow conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. If using a reservation website, check to be sure your vehicles will fit in the parking space for your campsite.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, obtain firewood locally.
