Cattle Camp Campground
Cattle Camp Campground - McCloud River is spread through a fragrant pine forest in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Nearby is the popular Cattle Camp swimming hole on the McCloud River and to a series of beautiful waterfalls downstream. Fifteen miles of riverside trails connect the falls and other points along the river. Roads and viewpoints also provide access to each of the falls. Fishing is rewarding up and down the river.
Cattle Camp Campground - McCloud River has 27 level campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. Four of the sites are doubles. All are first-come, first-served. A few campsites with pull-through driveways have space for larger RVs.
Reach the campground from Interstate 5 near the town on Mount Shasta, heading east for 21 miles on Highway 89. Access to the campground is easy since it is only ⅓-mile off the highway.
