Big Silver Group Campground is on the east side of Union Valley Reservoir in the Crystal Basin area of the Eldorado National Forest. The campground is set among the trees not far from Big Silver Creek and Union Valley Reservoir.
Big Silver Group Campground can accommodate one group of up to 50 people. Within the campground are 10 units, some for tents, others for RVs, trailers, and tents, and a third with walk-in tent sites. All of the sites are accessible.
In the center is a kitchen area with 7 tables, 1 serving table, 2 group pedestal grills, and 1 group fire ring. There is no potable water at Big Silver Group Campground . Campers should either bring water or treat the stream water by filtering it or boiling it.
