Pleasant Boat-in Campground

Pleasant Boat-in Campground sits on the east shore of Loon Lake in the Crystal Basin area of Eldorado National Forest. The campground may be used by boaters or hikers. No roads connect to the campground.

Campers at the site must boat from the Loon Lake Launch Ramp or hike about 4 miles from the trailhead. Since there is no potable water available, those coming by boat should bring water with them. Hikers should have a proper water filter.

There are now restrooms at Pleasant Boat-in Campground. The new restrooms were installed in spring 2018.
