Sentinel Campground is located at Cedar Grove near Road's End in Kings Canyon National Park. Cedar Grove is 30 miles from Grant Grove, down a winding canyon road with spectacular views of the Middle and South Forks of the Kings River. The campsites are near the South Fork of the Kings River in a beautiful, open conifer forest. Towering canyon walls rise on either side of the valley. Sentinel, Moraine, and Sheep Creek campgrounds are side by side and nearly identical.
Some campsites at Sentinel Campground will accommodate trailers up to 30 feet. All camps are provided with bear-proof lockers for storing food and any scented items. Nearby trails lead out to wonderful destinations such as Mist Falls, scenic views of the Sphinx, Bubbs Creek, and Paradise Valley.
