McCloud Bridge Campground
McCloud Bridge Campground is located far up the McCloud River Arm of Shasta Lake in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. Those who make the drive out to McCloud Bridge know that they will be rewarded with a beautiful, quiet setting and great shoreline fishing, especially for brown trout. The nearest boat launch ramp is 8 miles to the south at Hirz Bay.
McCloud Bridge Campground has 14 campsites which can accommodate small RVs, trailers, and tents. Three of the sites are doubles. All campsites are first come, first served. The campground is on the site of an old ranch, surrounded by fruit trees, berries and sweet peas. Some of the most scenic sites are on the lake/river side of the campground. Even when the lake levels drop, the campers enjoy river-side camping.
General Camping Information
Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. If using a reservation website, check to be sure your vehicles will fit in the parking space for your campsite.
In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, obtain firewood locally.
