Dekkas Rock Group Campground is located in the Shasta-Trinity National Forest on the McCloud Arm of Shasta Lake. The campground is 2 miles from the Hirz Bay boat launch ramp. Campers at the group campground find good fishing nearby along the shore. Popular activities include boating, waterskiing, wakeboarding, and hiking. Dekkas Rock stands just across the inlet from the campground.

Dekkas Rock Group Campground is a single group campsite that can accommodate up to 60 people and 18 vehicles. Facilities include a large group BBQ along with several small cooking grills, a campfire ring, and 12 picnic tables. The campground has an extra unpaved parking area for boat trailers and overflow parking. Campers should read the note below about the Locked Entry Gates.

The reservations website cautions: "Reservation holders must contact Shasta Recreation Office at least 1 week prior to arrival for a combination code to access campground; failure to do so could lead to a locked facility without access for a night or longer and no refund."

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. If using a reservation website, check to be sure your vehicles will fit in the parking space for your campsite.
