Queen Lily Campground

Queen Lily Campground is in the Plumas National Forest, 30 miles west of Quincy. Access to the campground is on Caribou Road, 3 miles north of Highway 70 near Belden. Campground visitors enjoy good fishing in the North Fork of the Feather River where it passes near the campground. Wading and tubing are popular when water levels in the river are safe. Autumn draws berry pickers to the area. Campers enjoy boating, waterskiing, and fishing an hour to the north at Lake Almanor.

Queen Lily Campground has 12 campsites shaded by cedars, Douglas firs, pines and oaks. Campsites can accommodate RVs, trailer, and tents. One site has pull-though parking. A few have views of the river. All the campsites are first-come, first-served. Supplies are available in nearby Belden and Twain.

Attractions near Queen Lily Campground: Visit Butt Valley Reservoir to the north. Mountain bike on local roads and trails. Tour the Butterfly Valley Botanical Area with its insect eating plants. Spent time in historic Greenville and Quincy. Fish, boat, and waterski at Lake Almanor. Hike the trails leading out from Ely Stamp Mill across from Belden.

Campers at Queen Lily Campground enjoy great trout fishing along a branch of the Feather River. Short drives lead to many of the other attractions in the Plumas National Forest.

  • Visit Black Mountain lookout for great views of Honey Lake and surrounding country.
  • Explore the magnificent Backcountry Discovery Trail, 150 miles of roads through the Plumas National Forest, accessible to high clearance vehicles and 4-wheel SUVs.
  • Spend some days at Little Grass Valley Recreation Area and enjoy boating, waterskiing, sailing, and fishing.
  • Take a scenic drive through the Indian Valley Area north of Quincy.
  • Hike in the Bucks Lake Wilderness.

  • Horseback ride in Deanes Valley or Lakes Basin.
