North Shore Campgrounds at Millerton Lake
North Shore Campgrounds at Millerton Lake provide a variety of scenic place to enjoy the recreation opportunities around the lake. Millerton Lake is 20 miles northeast of Fresno via Highway 41 and Highway 145. The lake and campgrounds are part of the Millerton Lake State Recreation Area.
Millerton's 4,900 surface acres are popular for boating, waterskiing, fishing, and swimming. Summer temperatures can reach 100 degrees but the water is always refreshing. A network of trails around the lake are used by hikers, horseback riders, and mountain bikers.
RV Camping and Tent Camping at North Shore Campgrounds
North Shore Campgrounds at Millerton Lake are across the water from the marina and main boat launch ramps, but there is also a launch ramp within the array of campgrounds. The campgrounds include Rocky Point, Mono, Fort Miller, Dumas Strands, Valley Oak, and Meadows.
Taken together the campgrounds have a total of 133 campsites, all of which are designed for RV camping and tent camping. Most of the campsites have lake views and many are lakefront. Campsites do have little shade, but an awning on your RV or a free-standing shade tent can solve that. A section of campsites in the Meadows area has full RV hook-ups.
North Shore Campground also includes 2 Group Campsites and an Equestrian Camp. Two Boat-in Campgrounds are found along the lake's shore.
Millerton Lake Equestrian Campsites
