Lakeview Campground is on the north end of Pardee Lake in the foothills of Amador County, 7 miles west of Jackson. The campground is part of the Pardee Lake Recreation Area operated by the East Bay Municipal Utility District. Pardee Lake is on the Mokelumne River which serves as the boundary between Amador and Calaveras counties.

Lakeview Campground has 59 campsites close to the main features of the recreation area, including the marina and launch ramps. Within easy walking distance are hot showers, restrooms with flush toilets, and laundry facilities. Many of the campsites have full hook-ups. A few with lake views are designated as premium sites.

Attractions near Lakeview Campground: Enjoy Swimming pools, horseshoes, and Bocci ball. Head to the marina for boat rentals and the boat launch ramps. Try fishing ($5 fishing access fee used to stock trout) for Kokanee, rainbows, and bass. Visit the cafe and store. Make the short drive to Camanche Lake and New Hogan Lake.




General Camping Information

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on weather conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, purchase firewood locally.

Designated Accessible sites are usually reserved for people with disabilities who have a vehicle displaying an accessible parking placard or license plate.

Attractions and Activities

Pardee Lake is known as a great place to camp and fish. Visitors at Lakeview Campground are within walking distance of the great amenities at the lake.

  • Launch your boat at the ten-lane launch ramp.
  • Visit the marina for boat rentals, boat supplies, fuel and other necessities.
  • A no body-water contact lake, Pardee is a quiet place to fish and relax without waterskiing or jet skis.
  • Take a swim in one of two pools at the recreation area.
  • Fish for rainbow trout, Kokanee salmon, bass, catfish, and sunfish.
  • Hike about the lake and watch for deer, wild turkeys, quail, rabbits, and squirrels.
  • Enjoy a meal at Cafe Pardee.
  • For a small fee use the WiFi connection to keep in touch with the outside world.
  • Play horseshoes or Bocce ball.

Key Lakeview Campground Regulations

  1. There is a 3-night minimum stay for holiday weekends.
  2. RVs must be able to connect to all three utilities: water, electric and sewer (black and grey water) and make a proper sewer connection.
  3. No body contact is allowed with the water in the lake, which includes no swimming, wading, or jet skis.
  4. Dogs must be on leash and always attended. At night they must be in a tent or vehicle.
