Black Miners Bar Group Campground
Black Miners Bar Group Campground offers the quiet water of Lake Natoma for boating, swimming, and fishing. Within a short drive upstream spreads Folsom Lake with more boating, and fishing, plus waterskiing and jet skiing.
Lake Natoma has a 5 MPH speed limit, and motorized vessels are prohibited downstream of Willow Creek. Consequently, the lake is popular with kayakers, standup paddleboarders, and rowers. A day-use area next to the Black Miners Bar Group Campground has swimming, a boat launch ramp, shade ramadas, barbecue pits, restrooms and seasonal kayak rentals.
Black Miners Bar Group Campground is composed of 3 group, tent-only sites. Two of the sites can each accommodate up to 50 people and 25 vehicles. The other group site can accommodate up to 25 people and 12 vehicles. Each of the group sites is approximately 50 to 100 feet from the parking lot via a dirt trail. The vegetation at Sites A & B and the topography and restroom building at Site C block the view of the parking lot from the campsites. Some road noise from nearby streets can be heard in the campground.
