Silver Bowl Campground
Silver Bowl Campground sits near the shore of Silver Lake in a remote area of the Lassen National Forest. The campground is 39 miles northwest of Susanville, and, as the crow flies, 13 miles north of Lake Almanor. Visitors to the area appreciate its off-the-beaten-path location. Fishing is good in Silver Lake and nearby Caribou Lake. An unimproved boat ramp is available at Silver Lake. A nature trail circles the lake. Other trails lead west into the Caribou Wilderness where hikers find dozens of small lakes within a mile or two of the campground.
Silver Bowl Campground offers 18 nicely forested campsites for RVs, trailers, and tents. All the campsites are first-come, first-served. Well water is available from hand pumps.
