Olive Grove Campground at Lake Piru is located 14 miles northeast of Fillmore in Ventura County. Visitors to Lake Piru enjoy waterskiing, fishing, and swimming. Boats less than 12 feet or greater than 26 feet are not permitted. However, kayaks and canoes are allowed in a designated area. And beginning in 2015, Lake Piru began permitting up to 50 jet skis on the lake. For shore-side recreation, the lake has a disc golf course.

Olive Grove Campground at Lake Piru is situated on the west shore of the lake near the designated swimming area, marina, and launch ramp. Managed by Parks Management Company, the campground has 234 closely grouped campsites. Some campsites have full hook-ups, others have only electric hook-ups. Tent sites are also available. Olive trees provide nice shade. A minimum 2-night stay is required, 3 nights on holiday weekends. Note: No alcohol is permitted at Lake Piru.

Lake Piru Group Campgrounds

Lake Piru has 2 group campsites. The first site can accommodate up to 50 people, the second up to 100 people. As with the main campground, there is a 2-night minimum stay. These are primitive camping areas with picnic tables and a large firepit.

General Camping Information

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on snow conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, firewood from outside the area is not permitted.
