Mill Creek Campground
Mill Creek Campground is within the Del Norte Coast Redwoods State Park, about 9 miles southeast of Crescent City. Visitors to the campground are lulled to sleep at night by softly chattering streams. The campground is several miles off the highway.
Those wanting to find access to the rugged coast can do so at False Klamath Cove or Wilson Beach (both next to a roadside rest area to the south). Ocean beaches are not safe for swimming. Hikers can take Footsteps Rock Trail or Damnation Trail to the coast (both trails to the south).
Mill Creek Campground has 145 campsites set in lush redwood forest. Twenty-two sites are designated for tents only. The remaining 107 sites can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. Most sites can be reserved during the summer, while a good number are offered as first-come, first served sites. There is also a Hike & Bike site.
General Camping Information
Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. If using a reservation site, check to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.
