Panther Flat Campground
Panther Flat Campground is along the beautiful Middle Fork of the Smith River in the Six Rivers National Forest. The campground is directly off Highway 199, 16 miles east of Highway 101.
Visitors to the area enjoy top-quality steelhead trout fishing in winter months and great rafting and swimming in the summer when the water levels are safe. Two swimming holes are near the campground, one with a sandy beach.
Panther Flat Campground has 38 campsites, both of which can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. There is one double site. The recently modernized campground features large parking aprons, making all of the sites wheelchair accessible. The campground is set in a mature forest of Douglas fir, cedar and Pacific madrone trees. Some sites are first come, first served.
