Sugarloaf Ridge State Park Campground
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park is 13 miles east of Santa Rosa in the shadow of 2,275-foot Bald Mountain. Visitors to the park often set off on a self-guided nature trail along Sonoma Creek. After winter rains hikers are rewarded with views of a 25-foot waterfall. Numerous other trails for hikers and horseback riders wind through the park. The non-profit Valley of the Moon Observatory Association provides year-round astronomy education and interpretation programs at the Robert Ferguson Observatory.
Sugarloaf Ridge State Park Campground contains 49 campsites for tents or small RVs or trailers. Campsites are located around a meadow near Sonoma Creek. The campground also includes a Group Campsite. Alcohol is not permitted in the campground.
