Group Camps and Horse Camps (Stock Corrals)
Group Camps are set aside for nearly any kind of group, whether Scouts, a church group, or a photography club. The campsites vary in size, with the maximum number of people ranging from 15 to 50 depending on the site.
Horse Camps (or Stock Corrals) are provided for campers with horses. The camps are placed well apart from the main campground. Corrals and other horse-related amenities may be provided.
Lassen Volcanic National Park Campgrounds
Camping in Lassen Volcanic National Park among the volcanoes, lava beds, cinder cones, and hydrothermal areas is a unique experience. Visitors will find an engaging variety of places to explore throughout the park. Besides national park campgrounds, we have included a couple campgrounds located nearby outside the park.
Three campgrounds are tents-only: Warner Valley, Southwest, and Juniper Lake. All the rest have spaces for RVs, trailers and tents. Some of them have specialty camps such as group camps or horse camps attached to them. Lost Creek is a dedicated group campground with no standard family sites.
Specialty Camps in Lassen
Besides campsites designated for tents, RVs, and trailers, these campgrounds also have specialty camps attached to them, often set apart from the main campground. Lost Creek Campground is for groups only.
- Group Camps: Lost Creek, Manzanita, Juniper Lake, Butte Lake, and Hot Creek
- Horse Camps: Juniper Lake and Summit Lake
