Oso Group Campground
Oso Group Campground is at the end of a short side road off Highway 38 in the San Bernardino National Forest, 37 miles east of the city of San Bernardino. Campers find a variety of interesting trails to explore, including the Santa Ana River Trail and trails leading to nearby Jenks Lake. Jenks Lake is well known for good fishing as well a non-motorized boating. Kayakers especially like the lake's calm waters.
At the Grayback Amphitheater, ¼-mile east on Highway 38, the San Gorgonio Wilderness Association provides evening educational programs on most Saturdays and Sundays throughout the summer months.
Oso Group Campground is a single campsite that can accommodate up to 100 people and 20 vehicles in a mature pine forest. Amenities include multiple tables, 3 pedestal grills, and a campfire circle. The campground requires a 2-day minimum stay on weekends and 3 days on holiday weekends.
General Camping Information
Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the reservation site when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.
Accessible Sites
Designated Accessible sites are usually reserved for people with disabilities who have a vehicle displaying an accessible parking placard or license plate.
