Visitors to Lake Berryessa enjoy all kinds of water sports along with fishing, hiking, and cycling. Campers at Putah Canyon Campground are close to great fishing and boating.

Putah Canyon Campground

Putah Canyon Campground is on the northwestern side of Lake Berryessa at the mouth of Putah Creek Canyon. Visitors to Lake Berryessa enjoy boating, waterskiing, fishing, swimming, and cycling. A boat launch ramp is located at the campground ($10 for registered campers). The campground is operated by Royal Elk Park Management as a concessionaire for the Bureau of Reclamation which manages the lake.

Putah Canyon Campground has 98 campsites. Of these, 36 sites can accommodate RVs, trailers, or tents. Sixteen of the campsites are designed for RVs or trailers only, while another 46 sites are designated for tents only. The campsites have partial shade from oaks. Most have views of the lake.

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on snow conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, obtain firewood from the local area of the campground.
