Clear Lake State Park Campgrounds are on the west side of Clear Lake in Lake County, 3½ miles northeast of Kelseyville. Visitors to Clear Lake State Park enjoy hiking, swimming, waterskiing, boating, and fishing. The State Park has 4 campgrounds - Cole Creek, Kelsey Creek, Lower Bayview, and Upper Bayview. Kelsey Creek Campground is open year-round and is the only campground with lakeside sites. Some Lower Bay View Campsites have nice views of the lake.
In all, Clear Lake State Park Campgrounds offer 136 campsites and 2 Group Campsites. Of the standard campsites, two are tent-only sites. The Lower Bayview and Upper Bayview campgrounds are a little farther back up a hill from the lake than Kelsey Creek. The contrast between Kelsey Creek Campground and Upper Bay View Campground is stark. While Kelsey Creek campsites are in lush forest, Upper Bay View is much more arid. Cole Creek Campground is inland along the creek. Its campsites are spread across open ground beneath a canopy of trees. Two Hike & Bike campsites are also available.
Reservations are available for camping dates whenever campgrounds are open, except for Kelsey Creek which is first come, first served from October through March.
