Recreation Point Group Campground

Recreation Point Group Campground is at the north end of Bass Lake in the Sierra National Forest. Four-mile-long Bass Lake is a popular mountain recreation destination, offering fishing, boating, waterskiing, and hiking. Groups at Recreation Point can take advantage of the adjacent day-use area with a softball field, volleyball court, designated swim area, and other nice facilities. All around Bass Lake are other picnic areas, beaches, resorts, marinas, launch ramps, and trails.

Recreation Point Group Campground has 4 tents-only group campsites close to the lake. All 4 of the group sites have very nice amenities. No trailers or RVs are allowed at the campsites. Check in at Bass Lake Recreation Office before proceeding to campground. The office is located at west end of the lake near Recreation Point.

  • Knoll Campsite can accommodate up to 30 people and 10 vehicles. Offers nice lake views
  • Lagoon Campsite has space for up to 30 people and 10 vehicles. Has nice lake views
  • Scout Campsite can accommodate up to 45 people and 15 vehicles. Pleasant group setting.
  • Acorn Campsite has space for up to 50 people and 16 vehicles. Slightly more secluded group setting among the trees.

Key Recreation Point Group Campground Regulations
