Lake Cahuilla Campground
Lake Cahuilla Campground is part of Riverside County's Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park, at the base of the Santa Rosa Mountains in the Coachella Valley. The 710-acre park features excellent fishing, horseback riding, hiking, and a refreshing swimming pool. Visitors play sand volleyball and Bocce ball. An open grass picnic area is great for a range of activities. The nearby towns of La Quinta (shown above), Coachella, Palm Desert, and Palm Springs offer a variety of attractions. Visitors can ride the Palm Springs Aerial tramway to the summit of Mt. San Jacinto, play golf at a number of poplar courses, enjoy the many local restaurants and shops.
Lake Cahuilla Veterans Regional Park is most popular during the cooler months of the year. During the summer from May 1 to June 30 the park is closed Wednesdays and Thursdays. From July 1 to September 30, the park is closed Tuesday through Thursday. At other time of the year is open 7 days a week.
