Camp Richardson Campground

Camp Richardson Historic Resort and Marina along the shore of South Lake Tahoe maintains a campground with more than 200 tent sites and a separate campground with more than 100 RV sites. Camp Richardson is next to Jameson Beach and near Pope Beach. The resort has a marina with boat rentals, lodging and dining, a Mountain Sports Center, and other shops. Nearby are popular attractions such as Emerald Bay, Fallen Leaf Lake, and Taylor Creek Visitor Center.

The tent campground is arranged into two sections, one on either side of Highway 89. Badger's Den is on the lake side of the highway, while Eagle's Nest is directly across the highway on the inland side. In either campground, try to avoid campsites close to the road. The campgrounds are within easy walking distance of resort facilities and the lake. Single sites are limited to 2 tents. Willow Loop in Badger's Den has 16 double sites for up to 4 tents. No RVs, trailers, or generators are allowed in the tent camping areas. Check-in is at the RV campground kiosk.

The RV campground is directly across Highway 89 from the resort hotel. Included in the RV campground are 8 tent sites. The RV campsites have both water and electric hook-up sites and full hook-up sites. Check-in is at a kiosk at the campground entrance.

No pets are allowed in either the tent or the RV campground. Check-ins are not available after dark.
