Jackson Meadows Reservoir north of Truckee is a popular camping and boating destination. Visitors to the area find a variety of activities and interesting places to explore.

Fir Top Campground

Fir Top Campground is one of several campgrounds on the southwest shore of Jackson Meadows Reservoir in the Tahoe National Forest. Nearby is Woodcamp Recreation Area with a boat launch ramp and a swim beach. Jackson Meadows Reservoir is a favorite for waterskiing, boating, and fishing.

Fir Top Campground's 10 campsites are located above the lake near Woodcamp Creek. Fir and pine trees provide plenty of shade at the campground. Campsites can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents.

Opening and closing dates of campgrounds are only estimates, usually dependent on snow conditions. Not all campsites can accommodate trailers or RVs of all lengths. Check carefully on the website when you make your reservation to be sure your vehicle will fit your campsite.

In order to prevent the spread of invasive insects, purchase firewood locally.
