Sage Hill Group & Equestrian Campground
Sage Hill Group Campground is located in the Santa Ynez Recreation Area, 22 miles miles from Santa Barbara and 11 miles from the boat launch ramps at Cachuma Lake. The group campground has 5 sites, one for equestrians and the others from groups up to 50 people.
The equestrian campsite can accommodate up to 60 people and 10 vehicles. It has 11 corrals available. The site is close to the river and to equestrian trails. Each of the 4 standard group sites accepts up to 50 people and 10 vehicles.
From highway 101 in Santa Barbara, take highway 154 approximately 15 miles to Paradise Road. Turn right and continue 5 miles to Los Prietos Road. Turn left past the ranger station to the camp entrance. Arriving vehicles must ford the river to reach the campground, easily done during dry seasons.
Heavy rains, however, can make the river impassible; as a result, the campground may be subject to short term closure; call (805) 967-8766 for updates.
