Burlington Campground is one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. The campground is along the Avenue of the Giants, adjacent to the Visitor Center, and near the South Fork of the Eel River. A summer bridge across the river allows access to hiking trails there.
Burlington Campground has 58 campsites. Of those, 23 are designated for tents only and the remainder for RVs, trailers, and tents. Some of the sites are rather close together. Old stumps left over from logging days are popular for children to climb and play around.
The campground includes 3 Hike & Bike campsites.
Reservations for all Humboldt Redwoods State Park campsites are available from 2 days up to 7 months in advance. Reservations become available in one-month blocks on the first of the month, 7 months in advance. For example, on January 1 campsite reservations become available for all of July.
