Mill Creek Campground is on the northern arm of Bucks Lake where Mill Creek feeds into the lake. When lake levels are high the campground has pretty views of the lake and easy access to shoreline fishing.

Sandy Point Day-use Area with a boat launch ramp is less than a mile to the south of Mill Creek Campground.

Mill Creek Campground has 10 campsites which can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. Some sites are lakefront. Many are narrow pull-out sites best suited for RVs or trailers. Boats can be moored along the shore close to campsites.

Plumas National Forest is filled with wonderful places to explore and things to do. Campers at Mill Creek Campground are near many of the National Forest's wonders.

  • Hike in the Bucks Lake Wilderness.
  • Spend the day at Plumas Eureka State Park.
  • Visit Black Mountain lookout for great views of Honey Lake and surrounding country.
  • Spend some days at Little Grass Valley Recreation Area and enjoy boating, waterskiing, sailing, and fishing.
  • Take a scenic drive through the Indian Valley Area north of Quincy.
