Gansner Bar Campground

Gansner Bar Campground sits along the North Fork of the Feather River in the Plumas National Forest. The campground is on Caribou Road, 27 miles west of Quincy. Visitors to the area find excellent fishing close to the campground. Swimming and tubing are possible when water levels in the river are safe. In the fall berry picking becomes popular. Lake Almanor with boating and fishing is only an hour to the north.

Gansner Bar Campground offers 16 campsites that can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. Many of the sites are close to the river and separated from one another by clumps of berry bushes. The grassy campsites find good shade from pine, cedar and oak trees. All the campsites are first-come, first-served. Supplies are available in nearby Belden and Twain.

Located in the northern Sierra Nevada, just south of the Cascade Range, uncrowded Plumas National Forest is filled with wonderful places to visit and things to do. Campers at Gansner Bar Campground enjoy great trout fishing along a branch of the Feather River. Short drives lead to many of the other attractions in the Plumas National Forest.
