Boulder Creek Campground

Boulder Creek Campground is on the northwest side of beautiful Antelope Lake in the Plumas National Forest. The campground is at the foot of a peninsula, only a short walk from the lake. Adjacent Lone Rock Campground occupies the point of the peninsula. Boulder Creek Campground is about 2½ miles from Lost Cove Boat Ramp. Antelope Lake is open to all kinds of water sports, including water skiing. Fishing is popular in the coves around the lake.

Boulder Creek Campground has 69 campsites which can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents. Some sites may be reserved ahead of time, while others are kept open for first-come, first-served campers. A few sites have partial views of the lake. Pine and fir trees offer excellent shade.

Located in the northern Sierra Nevada, just south of the Cascade Range, uncrowded Plumas National Forest is filled with wonderful places to visit and things to do. For those camped at Boulder Creek Campground, beautiful Antelope Lake has many great places to explore.

  • Visit Black Mountain lookout for great views of Honey Lake and surrounding country.
  • Spend some days at Little Grass Valley Recreation Area and enjoy boating, waterskiing, sailing, and fishing.
  • Take a scenic drive through the Indian Valley Area north of Quincy.
  • Hike in the Bucks Lake Wilderness.
  • Hike portions of the famous Pacific Crest Trail.
  • Horseback ride in Deanes Valley or Lakes Basin.
  • Fish in Lake Davis, Antelope Lake, and round Valley Reservoir.
  • Head out for some OHV excitement at Bucks Lake Recreation Area or Gold Lake.
  • Take your boat out to Lake Davis, Antelope Lake, or Lower Bucks Lake.
