Deer Flat Boat-In Campground sits on a peninsula on the south side of New Hogan Lake. Campsites are only accessible by boat. Fluctuating water levels determine the size of the camp. In any case, camping is restricted the the portion of the peninsula north of a firebreak and fence. Campers register for Deer Flat Boat-In Campground sites at the Fiddleneck Entrance Station or the Acorn Campground Entrance Station. Parking is at the Fiddleneck Day Use Area.

Deer Flat Boat-In Campground has 30 campsites, each designated by a fire ring. Campers are limited to an area within a 25 foot radius of the fire ring. There is no drinking water available at the campground.

New Hogan Lake has over 4,000 surface acres and 45 miles of shoreline. Boat-in campers at Deer Flat Boat-in Campground enjoy a special view of the lake. Activities and attractions are still close at hand.

  • Set out and explore a network of mountain biking trails spread over the hills east of the campgrounds.

Key Deer Flat Boat-in Campground Regulations

  1. Dogs must be on leash and always attended. At night they must be in a tent or vehicle. A maximum of 2 pets is allowed.
  2. Gates are open from 8 AM to 10 PM on weekdays, and until 11 PM on weekends.
  3. Generators may only be operated between 10 AM and 8 PM.
