Tuff Campground

Tuff Campground is located on the east side Highway 395 near Tom's Place. The campground makes a convenient base for those fishing at nearby Crowley Lake (shown above). Opening day of fishing season at Crowley Lake draws large numbers of anglers to its fertile waters.

Campers at Tuff Campground often head 10 miles up the road to beautiful Rock Creek Lake. Rock Creek Lake is popular for boating and fishing. Anglers are drawn to the lake's population of Alpers trout. Rock Creek Lake has a 5 MPH speed limit. A little farther up the road are great trails for day hikes into Little Lakes Valley.

Tuff Campground has 34 campsites spread across a flat of sage adjacent to Rock Creek. Although not the most scenic campsites in the area, the adjacent creek adds charm to the site. Also, Tuff's convenient location makes it popular. Most campsites have a sun shelter shading the picnic table. A few campsites are among aspens and cottonwoods beside the creek. All the campsites can accommodate RVs, trailers, and tents.
