Caswell Memorial State Park Campground
Caswell Memorial State Park spreads among the trees along the Stanislaus River 5 miles southwest of Ripon. The river bank is a popular destination for fishing for bass, catfish, and crappie. Swimming beaches attract many campers in the summer when water levels are safe. Nature trails lead through 258 acres of oak-riparian woodlands, offering visitors a chance to spot various birds and other wildlife.
Caswell Memorial State Park Campground has 64 campsites which can accommodate tents and small RVs or trailers. Many sites are near the river. Trees provide ample shade to the campsites. The campground also has a Group Campsite for up to 50 people.
